Company History

The Fly Uganda brand represents three separate but complimentary companies:

- Kampala Aeroclub – the founding company, established in 1997 and responsible for aircraft operations and leasing.
- Kajjansi Flying School – Uganda’s only Approved Training Organisation, established in 2009
- Kampala Aero Maintenance – the fleet maintenance provider, established in 2004

1997 - Operations as a flight school begin on 1st October with a single C172 aircraft.

2004
- First KAM hangar completed and approved for operations by the CAA.

2006 - Contracted aviation services to support local oil exploration activities commences. Still in operation.

2008 - Contracted aviation services to Eastern DRC mineral exploration activities commences. Still in operation.

2010- Second KAM maintenance hangar built.

2010 - Refurbishment of purpose built passenger handling facility and restaurant.

2010 - Achieved ISO 9001:2008 Certification.

2012 - We become Africa’s first 100% Carbon Neutral Aviation Company.

2012 - Celebrating 15 years of aviation in Uganda. Current fleet of 12 aircraft and a helicopter.

2013 - Begin daily flights to all Uganda's National Parks and same day connections to the Serengeti.
2015 - Fly Uganda merges with Kampala Executive Aviation
2016 - Third KAM hangar constructed
